First of all: Thank you for this tutorial! It is EXACTLY the smoking pattern that I need. I have browsed the internet for hours now, I found many similar ones but nothing like this. Thank you so much!
Second of all: How much does the original piece of fabric shrink in size when smoked? And how long did it take you to finish it?

Hi Gillian! I’m five year late to the party but while reading the comments, I saw this person’s extremely rude comment and I just thought I didn’t cost me anything to write a word here to tell you that I can’t believe somebody would be this rude to a person like yourself who is volunteering precious info and photos for free on the internet. I hope it didn’t affect you — you don’t owe any of us anything! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. Peace :D

Yes, for the right price! It was an extraordinarily time-consuming project so the labor cost would be considerable. You can email me gillian@alltomorrowspatterns.com if you’d like to discuss further.

I would definitely pay well for it.

I’m so happy you like it, and that it’s still finding its way into the hands of fellow crafters! We geeky fabric hoarders have to stick together, I think. I hope it’s not too much trouble to rescale the patterns, and that your project comes out magnificently!

I LOVE IT. i’m currently transferring the patterns and working to scale them up for my plus size body. I really hope you write another book similar for us cosplayers. We don’t have many things actually geared towards us so as a geek i tend to gravitate to anything that feeds my fabric hoarding habit…. like i knew i bought that pale blue crepe back satin for a reason 6 years ago…. just didn’t know it was to be used in a version of your magical girl bodice and skirt i was inspired by!
